This is a direct tap in front of the main disconnect. It is like running a wire from your washing machine straight to the transformer at the pole, no over current protection.

Some handy work that my father in law did. Sorry he's retired. Just kidding....5 service panels on a 60 amp service is a fire waiting to happen

Improper service entrance attachment. Wires are frayed and touch the building.

Damage and missing bricks at a fireplace. After a closer look you could see the interior of the flue, a fire waiting to happen.

Damaged siding, installed too close the roof.

Mold on the backside of the roof sheeting. When this much mold is found in the attic I always find a wet basement or crawlspace.

Bowing and cracking in basement wall. Mold present.

Inspector Paul's Tip of the Week. If you have a board that is to short use a brick to make it longer.

Basement floor is wet. Improper grading, clogged gutters and no sump pump are all contributing factors.

Carbon monoxide at the register. This is usually caused by a cracked or rusted out heat exchanger.

This is vermiculite insulation, contains possible asbestos.

Friable asbestos at the ductwork.

Improper material for drain lines. Too thin of a wall thickness.

No drip leg installed at the furnace. A drip leg catches debris and moisture so it will not clog the gas valve.
